Taking a leap of faith to follow a newfound passion Harmit relocated to the U.K. to attended the London Flower School. Upon returning to Canada, Harmit started her first company, an e-commerce driven dried flower studio based in Surrey, B.C.
It’s important for me as an entrepreneur, as well as a woman of colour, to represent Surrey. Seeing our community grow truly motivates me to continue being an active participant in promoting positive change.
Chadley abalos and gino dominic, Parlor by haides
Best friends Chadley Abalos and Gino Dominic opened Parlor by Haides, a barbershop and salon located in Surrey's Fleetwood neighbourhood. Haides is grown to be a community champion, exemplified in its Haides Edu plaform of trades-based and educational workshops aimed at inspiring youth to follow their dreams.
As an entrepreneur, it’s important to represent Surrey in all that we do. Because in this city, the potential of the youth is unlimited, and you never know if the next changemaker is watching.
